Since the end of the 24/25 High School wrestling season, ATT Black Boxx has opened it’s doors for 2 hours (6-8pm) every Wednesday to give local, active High School wrestlers a place to train and help each other prepare for next season.
Black Boxx owner and Head Coach Glenn, along with a number of amazing, dedicated Coaches from several different high schools have volunteered their time each week to give wrestlers a safe, drama fee place to continue training FREE OF CHARGE.
Talking to Coach Glenn during this week’s practice he said “We have wrestlers here from 8 local high schools tonight – that’s incredible! Plus we have coaches, former high school wrestlers and even some active, international wrestlers, all working together to help, give back” When asked why he does it, he said “Growing up, we didn’t have the money for me to attend wrestling camps and out-of-school practices, so when I opened the gym I wanted a place where every high school wrestler in this area, regardless of their financial circumstances, has somewhere they can come, train and get better.”
So, every Wednesday for 2 hours, he does just that – opens the door to his MMA gym and gives back! The practices aren’t easy, the wrestlers are definitely pushed, but the energy in the room is high and this comes from the Coaches who are evidently in their element helping every wrestler who walks through the door.
