Most frequent questions and answers about our Youth Boxing Program
Our Youth Boxing program is designed with an emphasis on technique, fitness, discipline, and character development. The program is carefully structured to ensure the safety and well-being of our participants.
Our expert coaches play a crucial role in guiding children through the learning process and creating an environment that prioritizes safety at all times.
Absolutely! Every member of our team started as a beginner at one time. The way in which our classes are structured enables someone new every week to come in, and blend in without standing out as “new”.
Comfortable workout clothes are essential.
We have a water fountain, but always recommend bringing a water bottle.
If your child has boxed before and they have boxing shoes, you’re welcome to bring them, but they are not essential or a requirement.
Not at all. Our Youth Boxing classes are in a group setting with every member helping each other.
The journey is different for each child, but what is the same….is the improvement, co-ordination, balance, motor skills, focus and discipline that is gained. Plus, they make lots of great friends.
In brief, yes we have a seating area by the mat where parents are welcome to watch.
The question really is – Should Parents Watch? And this is really based on each individual child.
Some children do better without parents watching. For example, if your child is a little nervous or shy in new environments, and will keep looking back at you for reassurance, then maybe it’s better to drop them off.
If your child has some behavior issues and you’re struggling seeing them show signs of defiancey or poor work ethic, again, maybe it’s best to drop them off and let our amazing coaches motivate them and help them.
Not at all. Probably around 50% or our youth boxing students have no desire to compete, they simply enjoy learning and making friends while benefitting from the physical and mental aspects of boxing.
